Feinstein Has Seniors Arrested

According to the SF Gate:

Police were called on a group of retirees who refused to leave Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s West Los Angeles office until she talked to them about health care reform.

Sounds frightening! Wow, this must have been a huge crowd, right?

Los Angeles police Sergeant Rich Brunson said Thursday that police lured the group of seven outside somehow, then locked the building’s doors behind them.

SEVEN seniors, I’m surprised they didn’t taser them. Those damn unpaid protestors, how dare them think that they have a right to speak to their representative.

This has got to stop, if we’re not careful there will be hoards of seniors ascending on government offices all over the Country. We all know how dangerous these groups are, we should insist that they be added to Napolitanos’ list of right wing extremist immediately!

When was the last time you saw any ACORN members arrested for not leaving someone office?

Video available at RealClearPolitics.

Obama Soldiers Fan The Flame Of Racial Profiling

While Obama is having his beer bash, ACORN is drafting their email to take advantage of this latest ‘man-made crisis’. I’m sure Rahm is proud or helped them draft this.

Warrantless midnight raids. Racial profiling. Forced family separation. Retaliatory arrests. Chain gangs.

Relics of a bygone era? No. This is reality today where I live, and these are the routine actions of Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County, Arizona — the same sheriff whose actions have been compared to the worst excesses of Alabama Sheriff Bull Connor and his fight against the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960s.

Today, the excuse for abusing civil rights is the enforcement of federal immigration law, and the Latino community is the target. Sheriff Arpaio and others get away with it thanks to a Bush-era program called “287(g)” — a program that basically gives Sheriff Arpaio all the power and freedom he wants to enforce immigration as he sees fit. Program 287(g) is not only still being implemented, but Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano is planning to expand the program!

Tell Secretary Napolitano that we don’t need more local law enforcement taking immigration into their own hands. Program 287(g) should be abolished, not expanded.

Just last week, the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law called Arpaio-style, pre-dawn immigration raids on family homes “unconstitutional.” They said that the “cowboy mentality” permeating our approach to America’s immigration challenge has been doing serious damage.

In fact, many law enforcement agencies don’t support the 287(g) program and won’t even participate, saying it harms their ability to ensure public safety by putting officers in situations in which they often make choices that violate our rights — and our humanity — if we happen to look like we might “not be from around here.”

Click here to tell Secretary Napolitano to stop the expansion of the 287(g) program, and then to abolish the program altogether.

The impact that the 287(g) program has is life-or-death serious for many communities. When we know that the color of our skin makes us criminally suspect in the eyes of local law enforcement, then where do we go if we are in danger? How can we call the police to stop domestic abuse, if we know that the police may be just as abusive? When racial profiling is part of law enforcement, then people of color have no one to protect them.

Program 287(g) must end soon — and we can’t sit by while the Department of Homeland Security expands it. Tell Secretary Napolitano that expanding 287(g) is the wrong choice, and 287(g) will never be a part of a successful approach to America’s immigration challenge.

The good news is that as a result of the kinds of energy that ACORN and others have been able to generate on this issue, over 30 organizations across the country are taking action over the coming weeks to hold DHS accountable on immigration policy. Please join in this nationwide campaign to end 287g and bring sanity to America’s immigration policies.
In solidarity and strength,
Alicia Russell
Arizona ACORN

ACORN is taking this ‘man-made issue’ nationwide as in Arizona Sheriff Arpaio is winning this argument. According to Rasmussem Reports:

Voters in the Grand Canyon State still highly regard Maricopa Country Sheriff Joseph Arpaio, known for his tough immigration enforcement. Fifty-seven percent (57%) say the sheriff’s policies have helped the state’s image, showing little change from May. Twenty-seven percent (27%) say the sheriff’s policies hurt the state’s image.

The people that live in this community don’t agree with ACORN, not that it matters to ACORN. The fact is that Sheriff Arpaio is doing the unthinkable – he’s enforcing the law. What a concept.

Obama Is Selling – We’re Not Buying

Those damn Americans’ are looking behind the curtain!

According to Rasmussen Reports today:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Thursday shows that 28% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -12. That’s the lowest rating yet recorded for President Obama.

obama_index_july_30_2009

The last time Obama has seen a positive approval index was June 30th, he has been on the decline since. In fact his current nose dive started on July 9th, the first full polling after Independence Day. Or the first full polling day after the largest Tea Parties????

And it’s not just Rasmussen…………Pew Research is reporting more of the same.

Their job is to vote! If these members of Congress are not available, they should step down or be fired. For those of us that schlep to the polls come rain or shine and don’t get paid (unless you work for ACORN or the Unions of course), it is completely unacceptable for these people to accept checks paid “by the people” that they obviously do not have time or don’t care to represent.

What would happen to your job if you didn’t show up over 150 times?

Paul Curtman – An American Hero

I haven’t heard anyone say it better.

“We have something in common. We both at one time took an oath to defend the Constitution. Her oath took her to Washington. My oath took me overseas with a rifle.”

It such a shame that our soldiers are put in a position that they have to explain the Constitution to our members of Congress. It’s scary that he seems to understand and respect this document more than our elected officials.

My favorite quote from the second clip.

“They should be held accountable.”

I hope we’re looking at Claire McCaskills’ replacement.

Green Program In Philly To Train Youth – Training Provided By A Child Molestor, Thief And Accused Rapist!

Keep Him Away From Your Kids
Keep Him Away From Your Kids

The Philadelphia Tribune article sounds so hopeful, put those young people to work spending our stimulus $’s.

Green program bringing youth into environmental picture

The Penn Future Resource Center is using the green movement to help young people find jobs. The newly formed organization, which is a collaboration of the City Wide Youth Leadership Agency and the Pennsylvania Ridge Associates, teaches “greens jobs” that not only affect the environment, but could provide income for the students.

Under a program called the Youth Energy Empowerment, the Penn Future Resource Center teaches landscaping, weatherization, energy conserving insulation, power washing and window insulation.

The organization also has new digs at 1021 Ridge Ave.

Executive director William Mackey stated the green jobs are the wave of the future.

“Under the president’s initiative, one of the main focuses is energy conservation. We believe in the 21st century Africans American and minorities are have to explore energy conservation,” he said.

Mackey said these jobs could be very lucrative.

“These jobs bring in $35 an hour,” he said. “We are not exposed to these jobs in depth. We are only exposed on a baseline level.”

Sounds good right? Until you do a simple internet search on Mackey (emphasis mine).

Mackey to appeal sentence

At least 20 parents, colleagues and good friends of William Mackey, former executive director of City Wide Improvement and Planning Agency (CWIPA) were in court with William Macky.

They came last week to testify about his good works and how he has been such an inspiration to young people in North Philadelphia.

But Judge Joseph Bruno still handed down a sentence of three to six months for indecent assault and six to 12 months for corruption of a minor.

Mackey says he plans to appeal, this time asking for a jury trial.

On March 14, Mackey was convicted of indecent assault and attempting to corrupt a 16-year-old participant in the Citywide program. He was freed on $5,000 bail.

The girl alleged the incident, which she said took place last Sept. 6, started when Mackey grabbed her hand during a conversation near CWIPA’s headquarters and tried to guide it towards his private parts, suggesting that when she became old enough he was going to “bust that,” sources said.

Maybe the guy was set up – maybe it was a misunderstanding. Nope, he has a prior record (emphasis mine).

Sources said Mackey has a prior conviction for retail theft, robbery of a gas station in 1991, and was acquitted of rape charges in 1986.

How is it that the Philadelphia Tribune missed this when they reported on Mackey’s court case in 2001. This is a serious lack of ethical reporting or seriously sloppy.

It gets better (or worse depending on how you look at it). It seems Mackey is involved in 2 youth programs in Philly:

The Philadelphia Daily News lists these programs as:

City Wide Youth Leadership, 910/930 W Cecil B. Moore Ave. Project Reach 2000. M-Sa. 3-6 p.m. Free Mentoring, tutoring, leadership training, career training, community services and intramural sports league. Saturday hours are 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Contact: William Mackey, 215-765-5504. moekennedy@hotmail.com

Project REACH 2000

This program is offered at William Penn High School. Does the school district not run some kind of background check before allowing convicted felons to hang out with the kids after school???????? Most notably someone that has been convicted of molesting a high school age child.

City Wide Youth Agency

The address for this ‘agency’ is 910/930 W Cecil B. Moore Avenue. Just one problem, this address is a vacant lot.

My first thought? This can’t be right……………..However, according to the City of Philadelphia records this is indeed vacant land. I guess we can’t say he’s blowing the budget on office space!

This will not be City Wide Youth Programs’ first dip into government funds. In 2006 the City of Philadelphia gave City Wide a grant for $1 Million dollars to purchase/renovate a building located at 1100-1138 W. Girard in Pennsylvania. The grant monies were meant to create a mini-mall that would house the Citywide Youth Leadership Agency’s alternative school, professional careers school and twilight school.

The property at 1100-1138 was indeed purchased on October 15, 2006 at auction for $3 Million and then sold on November 13, 2007 for $3 Million – where did the million dollars go Mr.  Mackey???

According to public records the City Wide Youth Program has no assets.

Charity Records - City Wide Youth

Again, where did the money go Mr. Mackey?

And now we’re going to give him more money?

Where’s Sheriff Biden?

I wonder how the child feels that this creep molested? Parents that supported this man, I’m all for giving people a second chance. But, NEVER at the cost of a child. If there is even a chance that this child was telling the truth (and considering that he was found guilty, I would assume there is a chance) the ONLY person that should have been supported was the child. Not to mention the fact that this man had already been accused of rape previously. This is not a man with a sterling reputation that was suddenly accused of something, he had been previously accused. That is never a coincidence. There is no after school or training program that is worth taking a risk with your children.
