Health Care Bill – Words Matter

H.R. 3200, Section 1902, page 836

Section 1860C–1 of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395w–29), as added by section 241(a) of the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003 (Public Law 108–173), is repealed.

That’s all it took – two sentences to end arguably one of the most expensive and most successful programs in the terms of benefit to seniors.

It’s amazing how much many words it takes to give senior a benefit and how easily it can be taken away.
