Ooops They Did It Again – ACORN D.C. – UPDATED

Statement from ACORN yesterday:

Maryland ACORN board member Margaret Williams said in a statement that the employees “did not meet ACORN’s standards of professionalism.”

The statement also said the video was an “attempt to smear ACORN” and that undercover teams attempted similar stunts in at least three other ACORN offices. Maryland ACORN board member Margaret Williams said in a statement that the employees “did not meet ACORN’s standards of professionalism.”

I guess ACORN should have checked first.

It gets better.

Lavernia Boone, the star of this video works for a mortgage broker, Smith-Meyers Mortgage Group and is a real estate agent representing RE/Max One in Maryland. EVERY real estate transaction that has been completed by Ms. Boone and Smith-Meyers Mortgage Group should be investigated.

It appears that the owner of Smith-Meyers Mortgage Group is aware of Ms. Boones’ activities with ACORN, as his Facebook listing has a link to the ACORN DC office.
